Jiří Georg Dokoupil (1954) is a Czech-German painter and graphic artist famous for his 1980s Soot Paintings and for his Soap Bubble Paintings, the earliest of which he painted in the 1990s. Author of many exquisitely inventive and conceptually rich painting techniques and representative of a large variety of different styles and movements which are already achieving significant sales results at art auctions around the world.
